Reading Project was held at the library of
SJK(C)Chung Hwa on 8 November 2012. There were 11 Leos,
2 Lions and 1 other community involved in this activity. The total service
hours were 11 hours. This project was successful. The children were happy and
the Leos learnt a great lesson and gained an unforgettable experience. We
understood the importance of reading and being knowledgeable.
2.Leos Helping in Lions Club Peace Poster
Contest

Description of project:
Leos Helping in Lions Club Peace Poster
Contest Project was held at SMK Setia Wangsa on 28 October 2012. There were 9 Leos, 4 Lions and 2 other community
involved in this activity. The total service hours were 27 hours. This project
was successful. The paintings were attractive and the scene was harmony. The
participants enjoyed the contest very much. The Leos gained an unforgettable
experience. The Leos understood the importance of cooperation. As the old
saying goes, united we stand, divided we fall. The Leo members and the Lions
members had a beautiful time working together.
3. Leo Helping with Lions Club in Carnival

Description of project:
Leos Helping with Lions Club in
Carnival Project was held at SJK(C) Chung Hwa on 1st
of July 2012. There were 14 Leos and 1 Lion involved in this activity. The
total service hours were 98 hours. This project was successful. There were
quite a lot of people purchased the ice kacang sold by Leo Club and Lions Club.
The food sold was delicious and it was a perfect delicacy in the hot and dry
weather. The ice kacang was sold out in the blink of an eye. The Leos were
satisfied with the good result as well as the experience. They understood the
difficulties faced by their parents during their job. The Leos began to
appreciate their parents’ hard-earned money.

5. School Library Cleaning Project

Description of project:
Spectacle
Recycling Project was held at Public Bank, Maybank, CIMB Bank, post office,
KFC, Pasaraya Aktif, Centrepoint Hotel, Singer electronic shop, SJK(C)Chung Hwa
and SMK Chung Hwa on 26
April 2013. There were 2 Leos involved in this activity. The total service
hours were a month. This project was successful. The boxes were placed at the
venues mentioned above and the spectacles were picked a month later. There were
numerous people supported this project by donating their old and used
spectacles. This was a meaningful activity because it helped a lot of poor
children who needed free spectacles.
6. Eye Project with Lions Club

Description of project:
Eye Project was held at Benta on 14th of April 2013. There were 3 Leos, 7
Lions and 1 other community involved in this activity. The total service hours
were 15 hours. This project was successful. There were plenty of people who
supported this project by checking their eyesight. They had a chance to know
more about their eyesight problem and decided to wear spectacles later on. As
the old saying goes, prevention is better than cure. The Leos were concerned
about their eyesight to avoid suffering from long sightedness or short
sightedness.

1. Visit to Children's Ward at Lipis General Hospital
Date : 25 of Septermber 2011 (Sun)

Description of project :
The project began with the President, Zackie Tan giving an opening speech. Leos interacting with the sick children, cheering them up with songs, games such as London bridge and also giving them goodies to lift up their unhappy faces.
A boy, Mohamad Khairul Irfan, 3 years of age was run over by a truck and was admitted for more than 2 weeks. Having suffered a permanent injury on his right arm, the nerves were broken and had difficulty lifting up his arm. He was cheered up by the leos with goodies and interaction.

2. International Peace Poster Contest

Description of project:
At 8.30 am, Leo members arrived at SK Wan Ibrahim some leos helped the Lions to carry things that was needed to use in the contest. The participants arrived at 8.50 am. At 9.00 am, president of the Lions Club of Kuala Lipis, Lion Joanne Loh gave a welcome speech and gave some explanations about the contest. Then, the contest started. The participants started to draw. Leo Chan Hue Shin who was the photographer of the day took many photos. The contest then ended at 2.00 pm. The results of the contest has been announced by Lion Joanne Loh and a group photo was taken. The first price was SMJK Chung Hwa Kuala Lipis and the second prize was SJKC Benta. Food were sponsored by Lions Club of Kuala Lipis to everyone present including teachers, judges, parents, Leos and participant. About 60 people were present to give support.

3. Car Wash - Fund Raising Project

Description of project:
Before the project began all the Leos gather at the school canteen and ate a packet of Nasi lemak since it was raining. After about 20 minutes the rain stop and the Leos began walking from school to their own respective taman. There were 6 groups dividend into 3 tamans.
Each group accumulate RM 80. We raise about RM 107.20 after minus from all the expenses. Leos had learn to be bold by going houses to houses and ask them if they want to wash their cars. It was a successful project and everybody had a great time.

4. Visit to Down Syndrome Centre (Part One)

Description of project:
The project started around 9 am, and the president gave a speech and a simple introduction about the community centre. Leos had a ice breaking games with the children. They played games such as London Bridge and presented songs to entertain the children. KFC was distributed to the children and staff of the community centre. All ate and were very happy. Leos interact with children especially the young ones and handicapped children were able to open themselves up after breaking from their shyness.

5. School Library Cleaning Project

Description of project:
The School Cleaning Project was held at the library of SMK Chung Hwa. This activity started at 2.40pm. Almost 20 members of the Leo Club took part in this project. First of all, the organizing chairperson, Leo Ng Won Huei gave a speech on the purpose and the outcome of the cleaning project. Later, the teacher-in-charge, Puan Ng Fei Er gave us the instructions. We were equally distributed into a few groups to carry out certain duties. Some of us arranged the tables and chairs, some swept the floor, some wiped the dust while the tall ones arranged the books. All of us gave our hearts and souls to clean up the school library. Out of our cooperation, the cleaning project lasted for only 1 hour. After that, Puan Ng gave a speech to appreciate our hard work. She also thanked the Leo club for being such helpful and caring.
The project was successful and a job well done to the OC Leo Ng Won Huei and her committed.
6. Visit to Down Syndrome Centre (Part Two)

Description of project:
The project started with the Organizing Chairperson giving a speech. The Leos cheer the children with many type of games, dances, songs and goodies. The leos started to interact with them by introducing each other and shake hands with them. They were around 15 children in the centre. The leos played London Bridge with the children, it was the best part of everything.After that, the leos dance with 2 dances which was very good and we sang 'Rasa Sayang' and Twinkle Twinkle little star with them. Lastly, we gave them some goodies which has a packet of milo, snacks and sweets. We have use a total of RM 56.60. The project was successful and a job well done to the OC, Leo Zuriel Seong and his committee.

We had a tree planting project after the visit to the down syndrome centre. We planted many different types of tree and flowers. The Leos dug holes to plant the trees and planted the flowers into beautiful pots. All the trees, flowers, pots, soil and many others was sponsored by The Lions Club of Kuala Lipis. The project was successful and a job well done to the OC, Leo Zuriel Seong and his committee.
8. Welcome Signboard installed at school gate

The project started at 11 am and ended at 12 noon. The leos gathered at the school gate and they adjust the place of the signboard. We had a group photo with the assistant headmaster and with the faculty advisor. The workers then cement the signboard on the ground. The signboard has a Leo club logo and with a school logo and on the bottom written 'We Serve'. The signboard was sponsored by The Lions Club Of Kuala Lipis. The project was successful and a job well done to the OC, Leo Gabriel Seong and his committee.

The project started by setting up the store and putting up the menu. We sold many types of food for example the pizza bread, Sweet corn and macaroni. Many Leos was busy preparing all the materials for the past 3 days. Many people bought our food. Students, teachers, parents, Lions and the public praise our food for the delicious taste and the good price we sold. The OC was Gabriel Seong, Secretary was Zuriel Seong, Treasurer was Wong Jia Vern and the photography was Henry Lee.
The project was successful and a job well done to the OC, Leo Gabriel Seong and his committee.
